Charles Pipkin of Columbia, Tennessee

June 27, 1940 - December 5, 2020

Mr. Charles Pipkin, age 80, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday morning, December 5, 2020 at NHC Maury Regional Transport in Columbia.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8th at Lynnwood Cemetery with Keith Baker and Donnie Joe Cothron officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Joe Cothron, Peewee Cothron, Terry Cothron, Joey Davis, Ben Davis and Sam Davis. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Born June 27, 1940 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Vernon and Edna Young Pipkin. He worked as a mechanic for Walter Lock and a truck driver for Nick’s Auction.

Charles is survived by a step-son: Earl Dewayne Hayes of Columbia; step-grandaughter: Jennifer Hayes of Columbia; sister-in-law: Helen Marie Cothron; nephews: Ronnie Calton, Clay Pipkin, Donnie Joe Cothron, Terry Lynn Cothron and Marshall Wade Cothron; nieces: Geneva Pipkin, Shelia Darlene Cothron and Jan (Marty) Roberts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Marjorie Geneva Pipkin; brothers: Vergil and Jerry Pipkin; niece: Debra Cooper; nephew: Jerry Wayne Pipkin.
