Mr. Charles Edward Wilson, age 76, husband of Joan Wilson, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Memorial service information will be announced at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 27, 1942 in Florence, Alabama, Charles was the son of the late Orlan Wilson and the late Ethel Killen Yates. He served his country in the United States Army Reserve for seven years and worked at General Motors for thirty-seven years before retiring in 2004. He was a jack of all trades but especially enjoyed car restoration and wood working.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-nine years: Joan Wilson; children: Teena (David) Collins of Florence, AL, Kimberly (Ted) MacIsaac of Hazel Park, MI, Shannon (Lisa) Wilson of Florence, AL, Brandon Ward of Columbia; sisters: Sue Smith of Lexington, AL, Betty Ann Cluesman of Detroit, MI, Jane E. Yates of Ferndale, MI; grandchildren: Ashton MacIsaac, Brittany MacIsaac, Charley MacIsaac, Hunter Beck, Riley Wilson, Kiefer Wilson, Hudson Ward; and great grandchildren: Zoey Beck, Sawyer Beck, Aiden Wilson, and Silas Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Timothy Wilson; brother: David Perryman; and sister: Catherine Brown.
