Cheryl Gibson

Cheryl Gibson, age 75, a cherished resident of Columbia and a long-time beloved member of the Riverview, Florida community, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her residence.

Cheryl was born in Washington on March 27, 1948, to the late Elmer Lloyd Hutchins and the late Noel Ann Stranahan. A dedicated housewife, Cheryl possessed a warm and inviting personality that could brighten anyone's day. Her gift for conversation and infectious laughter endeared her to all who knew her. Cheryl found solace as a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church and held a deep affection for animals, reflecting her compassionate nature.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 59 years, Harry Gibson; her loving son, Harry Gibson, Jr. of Columbia; her daughter, DeeDee (Jay) Szalay of Spring Hill; her brother, Chris (Gina) LaFrance of Sebastian, FL; and her sisters, Lela (Jim) Sineri, Gayle Yeary, and Pam Isaacs. Cheryl also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Gisele Szalay and Gavin Szalay.
