Christina Bonner

Christina Wheeler Bonner, age 59, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Marcus Duke officiating. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Christina was born on January 6, 1962, in Columbia, and was the daughter of Charles Edward Baxter and the late Roy Lee Griffin and the late Patsy Wheeler Baxter. She was a 1981 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Tennessee State University. Christina was a member of New Day Community Church in Columbia.

She enjoyed reading, shopping, talking on the phone, and hanging out at Legacy Styling Salon. Christina was a sweet and caring lady and a loving mother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Dyvorick Cooper of Columbia, sisters, Ruby Wheeler (Fenton) Gordon of Columbia, Nicole Griffin of Columbia, LaKecia Baxter (Michael Carter) of Columbia, nieces and nephews, Lysteria Gordon, Nicole Gordon, Nicolas Moore, D’Andra Moore, Te’Yana Robinson, Rian Carter, great nephews, Ki’Marley Venson, Cameron Moore, great niece, Jupiter Venson, God daughter, Chastity Morgan, and uncle, Bobby Williams.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Gracie Jeanette West, Nettie Miller, Stella Vestal, and grandfathers, Jewell Griffin, Joe Willie Wheeler.
