Christopher Rivas

Christopher Thomas Rivas, age 55, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, in Columbia, Tennessee.

Christopher was born on January 23, 1969, in Glendale, California. He had a deep passion for life and enjoyed reading, cooking, and watching baseball. A devoted Dodgers fan, he cherished moments spent cheering on his favorite team. Christopher was also a food enthusiast who loved exploring the vibrant restaurant scene in Japan, always eager to discover new culinary delights. He had a soft spot for cats and birds, bringing joy and warmth to those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Masako Rivas of Japan; his mother and stepfather, Joan Rivas and Tony Nanci of Columbia, Tennessee; his children, Max Rivas, Tomoko Grace (Misugu) Kifusa, Megan Hanako Rivas, Jane Momoka Rivas, and Aidan Makoto Rivas; his brother, Brandon Rivas; and his grandchildren, Kate Kifusa, Eliya Kifusa, Cleo Kifusa, and Mashiro Shimada.

Christopher will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
