Christopher "Chris" Isabell

Christopher Robert "Chris" Isabell, age 39, resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at his home.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Chris was born on April 18, 1982, in Maury County and was the son of the late Jewell Wayne Mayberry and the late Bonnie Kaye Isabell. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School    and owned his own contracting business, Build Rite Remodeling. Chris loved football, especially the Tennessee Titans and collected rare and unique shoes. When he walked in the room you never knew if you were going to get a bad joke, a dance routine, a badly sung song or a serious conversation about a current conspiracy theory. His world revolved around his son, CJ. He did nothing without him at the forefront of his mind. He was an amazing uncle who loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own. Above all, he was an all-around amazing guy with a great sense of humor who will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Robert Wayne “CJ” Isabell of Columbia, brothers, John Kevin (Charmante) Isabell of Columbia, Brandon Wayne Isabell of Columbia, sister, Amy Fitzgerald of Columbia, nephews, Seth (Rissa) Isabell, Brice Isabell, Bentley Isabell, Roen Knotts, and nieces, Trinity (Kenneth) Knotts, Takayla Mayberry, and Emrys Isabell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Travis Mayberry.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Blackburn, Demario Liggons, Jermaine Brooks, Tony Wren, Clint Bradley, and Christian Carroll.

Honorary pallbearers will include Seth Isabell, Brice Isabell, Kenneth Knotts, Ryan Floyd, and Phillip Bradley.
