Christopher Roland

Christopher ‘Chris’ M. Roland, age 39, husband of Brandi Roland, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday April 12 ^th at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 16 ^th at 1 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 27, 1979 in Lewis County, Tennessee, Chris was the son of the Brenda Davis Foster and the late Jimmy “Tippy” Staggs. He married Brandi Lee on September 9, 2009. He was a lover of all things sports, especially the Chicago Cubs. He also loved watching horror movies, and especially loved spoiling his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sisters: Connie Roland, Tracey Johnson and Wendy Roland; his nieces and nephews: Breanna Roland; Josh “Johnny” Roland; Erica Collins; Sheena Hinojosa; Liz Van Stone; McKayla DeRidder; Taylor DeRidder; Jordan Staggs and Cameron Staggs; mother and father in-law: Vickey and Chris Lynn: sister-in-law: Mindy Staggs; aunts and uncles: Ellen Stinnett; Tommy Davis; David Staggs; Judy Foster; Robert Davis and several great nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his father: Jimmy “Tippy” Staggs: brother, Jimmy “Jay” Staggs; and several aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Staggs, Robert “Bubba” Davis, Curtis Davis, Chris Randolph, Donnie Blair, Chris Lynn, Billy Peden and Tim Peden.

Honorary Pallbearers will inlucde his best buddy Cameron Staggs, Johnny Roland, Jordan Staggs and Taylor DeRidder.
