Cindy Lou Carpenter

Cindy Lou Kikendall Carpenter, age 67, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, July 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cindy was born in Charlotte, Michigan, and was the daughter of the late Lumon Charles Kikendall and the late Jeannette June Kikendall. She worked in insurance claims for the Mid-Tennessee Bone and Joint Clinic for 25 years. Cindy was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, traveling to the beach, and collecting seashells. Cindy adored dogs but, most of all, cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Katrina (Mike) Kutzleb of North Carolina and Jamie King of Columbia, TN; daughter-in-law, Crissie Carpenter of Dickson, TN; sisters-in-law, Lois (Rudi) Seman, Sue Carpenter, and Claudia Kikendall; grandchildren, Caleb King, Marissa Kutzleb, Landon Carpenter, Maya Kutzleb, and Stella Nelson; cousin, Donna Williams (Ronnie) of Memphis; nieces, Missy (Courtney) Suntken and Katie Kikendall; and nephews, Mark Manojlovic and Shawn Seman.

Along with her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Paul Carpenter; son, Andrew Paul Carpenter; brothers, Michael Kikendall and Charles Kikendall; and sister, Sherry Kikendall.

Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb King, Mike Kutzleb, Thomas Goetz, Rolin Manning, Zachary Kiphart and Kyle Skelley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Nelson, Landon Carpenter, Jeff Kiphart, Nick Harmon, Joe Davis, LCPL Andrew P. Carpenter, and Marine Corps League Detachment 1286.
