Connie Olmstead

July 2, 1950 - October 14, 2021

Connie Sue Olmstead, age 71, resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will hold a graveside service at Limestone Cemetery in Lester, Alabama at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Connie was  born July 2, 1950 in Lester, Alabama and was the daughter of the late James Slaton and the late Jetinease Newburn.  She was of the Church of Christ faith and she loved rose bushes.  She was a woman of style back in her days always wearing penny loafers and Aigner.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother that will be missed.

She is survived by her children: Jamie (Melanie) Olmstead of Summertown, Elizabeth Olmstead of Summertown, Josh Olmstead of TX, and Joe Olmstead of TX; and grandchildren: Galen McConnell, Breanna Davis, Ethan McConnell, Hallie McConnell, Megan Wilkinson, Chelsey Lemay, Zach Dale, and Riley Luke; and ten great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy Olmstead and daughter: Shannon Luke.
