Cora Laverne Fulmer

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 27, 1944 in Lawrence County, Laverne was the daughter of the late Hobert McKinley Boswell and the late Rosa Buie Boswell. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a waitress for many years at Po’ Boy in Columbia. She enjoyed eating out and going on vacations to Florida. Laverne was a very comical lady who loved people and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son: Brian Fulmer of Columbia; sister: Martha Thurman of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Shannon Boswell; and siblings: Calvin Boswell, Rachel Ketchum, William Boswell, Ernest Boswell, John Boswell, Lucy Brown, and Ina Carol Black.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Kennedy and the nurses and staff at Magnolia Health Care for their care and compassionate during this difficult time.
