Curtis Edward Dial, age 90, resident of Columbia, passed away on Monday, April 29 at Maury Regional Medical Center with his family at his side.
Funeral services for Mr. Dial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 4 th in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Minister Kerry James officiating. Military honors will precede the service at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born August 12, 1928 in Nashville, he was the son of the late John and Betty Gant Dial. He worked as a brick mason in construction and loved to read and fish. Mr. Dial served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and he attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Dial is survived by his daughters: Tonya Miller, Gloria Oden, both of Columbia, Jackie Dial of Nashville, Patricia (fiancé Richard Clayburn) Dial of Mt. Pleasant and Jerrica (Shan) Williams of Laverne; sons: Jason Dial and Tim Dial, both of Columbia, James Dial of Nashville, Rodney (Patty) Dial of Centerville, Tony Dial of Huntsville, AL and Tijuan (Shauna) Dial of Phoenix, AZ; devoted aunt: Eddie Ruth Boston of St. Louis, MO.; 17 grandchildren, a multitude of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.
