Cynthia Lee Hickman

Cynthia Lee Bills Hickman, age 62, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday morning, August 10, 2023, at Williamson Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Heritage Funeral Home with Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cynthia was born in Columbia on June 29, 1961, and was the daughter of June “Lovett” Bills and the late Thomas Lee Bills.  She was a Columbia State Community College graduate. On May 29, 1981, she married Carl Dewayne Hickman.  Cynthia worked for the last nine years as an RN for naviHealth.  She loved traveling to the beach and in the springtime, she enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg.  Cynthia also had a passion for cooking and making clothing for her daughters.  She was of the Church of Christ faith. Most of all, she cherished her family; especially her “grandkids”.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Dewayne Hickman, daughters, Ashley Hickman of Bell Buckle, Ansley (Jordan) Renier of Columbia, and Alec Hickman of Alabama, sister, Janine Bills of Tullahoma, grandchildren, Ava Kellum, Azalynn Hickman, Izek Renier, and Knox Wagoner, three nieces, and two nephews.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Bills, Jordan Renier, Tommy Hayes, Trevor Hays, Joe Wagoner, and Bobby Baker.

Honorary pallbearers will include her coworkers at naviHealth.
