Danny "Tank" Lee Warren

Danny Lee Warren, age 64, resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Steve Morgan and Alan Armstrong officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 2, 1956 in Maury County, Tank was the son of the late Leroy Warren and the late Bernice Evon Matthews Warren. He was a 1975 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He married his “baby doll” and the love of life Patricia “Tish” Brown on February 28, 1981 who he referred to as his beloved wife, friend, and fishing partner. Some of his hobbies included fishing, camping, playing cards, and boating.  Tank was a member of Destiny Church.  A good-hearted man, he had a great sense of humor and often enjoyed joking and playing pranks on others. Most of all, he loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. He never left a single person behind. He loved to wheel and deal with his good buddies and special friends, David Fitzgerald, Ray Tinsley, and Tab Blackburn.

Along with his wife, Patricia Brown Warren of nearly forty years, he is survived by his sons: Zane Warren of Columbia and Alexander McCord of Columbia; sister: Connie (Billy) Seagraves of Chapel Hill; nephew: Tim (Christi) Warren of Chapel Hill; niece: Emily (Dre) Cathey of Columbia; mother in law, Shelby Brown; brothers in law: Bill Brown, C.J. Brown; and several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: “Trusty and Doodle” and brothers, David Warren and William Ricky Warren.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Fitzgerald, Michael Blade, Tab Blackburn, Nate Luttrell, Zane Warren, and Alex McCord.  Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Northside Medical Professionals, the staff of Maury Regional Medical Center, and the employees of Vanderbilt Heart Center.
