Darrell Joe Hickman

Mr. Darrell Joe Hickman, age 53, a resident of Lynnville, passed away Sunday evening, May 16, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Pulaski.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with David Buffaloe officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 22, 1968 in Maury County, Darrell was the son of Joe & Brenda Lemay Hickman. He was a 1986 graduate of Spring Hill High School and worked many years in construction before his health would no longer allow. Darrell was very musically talented and loved music. He was able to play any instrument he picked up. He loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was a true outdoorsman who loved to grill, and in his younger years, often enjoyed fishing and hunting. Above all, Darrell loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who called him Pops. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Coty (Cammy) Hickman of Columbia, Heather (Cody) Reece of Columbia, Jacob (Miranda) Hickman of Clarksville, Summer Hickman of Lynnville, Joshua Hickman of Lynnville; brothers: Michael (Cindy) Hickman of Mt. Juliet, Russell (Brooke) Hickman of Columbia, Jonathan (Neeley) Hickman of Christiana; grandchildren: Aiden Reece, Matilda Reece, Silas Reece, Sophia Hickman, Noah Hickman, Liam Hickman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell & Janie Hickman and C.M. & Martha Lemay and close friend and uncle, Timmy Lemay.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Baldwin, Randall Hickman, Terry Lemay, Ricky Lemay, Cody Reece, and Bud Owens. Honorary pallbearers will include Darrell’s grandchildren, his close friend Victor Manuel, and the nurses, doctors, and staff at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Pulaski.
