David "D.J." Irving Jones, Jr.

David “D.J.” Irving Jones Jr., age 33, a resident of Columbia, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at 4 PM Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will also be held Friday, June 26, at 12PM - 4PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born January 15, 1987 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, D.J. was the son of Tamara Trubiano Edwards and David (Rhonda) Jones, Sr. D.J. worked as a carpenter and enjoyed taking mechanical things apart and putting them back together. He was a family man and especially loved being involved with his children. A people person, D.J was very sociable and loved to fish. He also loved riding motorbikes

In addition to his parents, D.J. is survived by his wife, Sara Jones of Columbia; sons, Kane Jones of Alabama, Bentley Jones of Alabama, Jackson Baugh of Alabama, William Chapman of Columbia; daughter, Ashlynn Jones; grandmother, Margaret Lapent of North Carolina; sister, Kimberly Barbee of Virginia; brother, J.W. Disharoon of Virginia; nieces, Emily, Heaven, and Marisa; and Brittanie Malone, the mother of Kane Jones, Bentley Jones, and Jackson Baugh.

D.J. is preceded in death by his sister, Heather Renee Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will include Michael Spurling and Perry Bruce.
