David Alan Johnson

June 25, 1954 - December 29, 2019

Mr. David Alan Johnson, age 65, a resident of Lynnville, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 25, 1954 in Germany, David was the son of Doris Eichelberger Johnson and the late John Thomas Johnson. He worked many years in maintenance for several different companies, most recently, Walker Die Cast, before retiring. He previously worked as a truck driver. David was a man that could do anything he put his mind to and never used the word “can’t.” He and his son, Shawn built their own race car and won a championship in 2008 and 2009. David was formerly a Mason and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Shawn (Brooke) Johnson of Pulaski; grandchild, Zander Johnson; sisters: Carol (Joel) Land of Pulaski, Cindy Tiller of Columbia; nephews: Jerimy Kelley, Daniel Kelley, Eric Johnson, Brad Johnson; and nieces: Nicole Brengartner and Holly Garner.

Along with is father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Roger Johnson.

Pallbearers will be: Jerimy Kelley, Daniel Kelley, Chris Kelley, Jacob Kelley, Blake Kelley, Kevin Brengartner, Danny Brengartner, and Joel Land. Honorary pallbearer will be Cameron Garner.
