David Travis Mayberry, age 35, a resident of Arizona, previously of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 4PM at Heritage Funeral Home Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Tennessee Army National Guard. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 2-4PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on July 10, 1983 in Columbia, David was the son of Jewell Wayne Mayberry and the late Bonnie Kaye Isabell. He was a 2002 graduate of Tennessee Prepitory School in Nashville. He served his country in the Tennessee Army National Guard for three years at Camp Taji, Iraq as a 278th B Troop RSSACR 3rd Platoon.
He was a lover of animals and music, and in his younger days, he enjoyed playing baseball. David loved watching football and was an avid UT Vols fan. Above all, he loved his family. Whether it was attending his nephew’s football games, going to his niece’s gymnastics meet, or excitedly awaiting the arrival of his great niece, he loved his family unconditionally.
In addition to his father, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter: Takayla Berry of Columbia; brothers: John Kevin (Charmante) Isabell of Columbia, Christopher Robert Wayne Isabell of Columbia, Brandon Wayne Isabell of Columbia; nephews: Seth Isabell, Brice Isabell, Christopher Isabell, Bentley Isabell; niece: Trinity Isabell; great niece on the way: Emrys Isabell; and his extended family: Melanie Wood, Sammy Stewart, and Sandra Stewart Wood.
Pallbearers will be: Seth Isabell, Brice Isabell, Clint Bradley, Phillip Bolton, Jonathan Jones, and Kenneth Knotts.
