David Alan Mccoy

David Alan McCoy, age 34, a resident of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 17, 2019 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 31, 1984 in Maury County, David was the son of Garry McCoy and Beverly Springer (Billy) Edwards. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan. David especially loved spending time with his daughter, Aubree.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Aubree McCoy; sisters: Amy (Jeremiah) Bakken of Lewisburg, Amber Edwards (Dustin Adcock) of Shelbyville; paternal grandmother, Charlotte McCoy of Columbia; uncles: Allan McCoy, Nathan Potts; niece: Erin Bakken; nephew: Trevor Bakken; and special cousins: Brittany (James) Daws, Bethany Johnson, and Kayla (Cody) Whitehead.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Pete & Betty Fogg; paternal grandfather: William “Bill” McCoy; and aunts: Deborah Potts and Linda Johnson.

Pallbearers will be: James Daws, Dustin Chatman, Thomas Goetz, Justin Goetz, Delane Hightower, Rick Bicknell, and Daniel Baker.
