David Franklin Thomason, Jr.

David Franklin Thomason, Jr., age 48, and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Gibsonville Cemetery in Giles County. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 15, 1976 in Giles County, David was the son of the late David Franklin Thomason, Sr. and Charlotte Sanderson Thomason.

He worked for Dale Murphy Construction in Charlotte, Tennessee, and took great pride in his work. Outside of work, David found joy in fishing, hunting, and tending to his garden. He also had a unique hobby of collecting rocks with faces on them. Above all, David cherished his role as a father to his beloved daughter, Emily. He took great joy in spending time with Emily, and the other children in the family.

In addition to his mother, Charlotte, David is survived by his daughter, Emily Thomason of Bowling Green, Kentucky, brother, Jason (Jody) Thomason of Columbia, sister, Jennifer (Darren Patton) Hall of Manchester, two nieces, Krista Jimenez and Katie Thomason, great nephew, Riley Andrews, and great nieces, Makenna Jimenez, and Ellie Andrews.
