Dedra Gray of Savannah, Tennessee

February 14, 1966 - July 8, 2019

Dedra Maureen Gray, age 53 a native of Columbia, Tennessee formerly of Hohenwald, TN passed away on July 8, 2019 at her residence in Savannah, TN after a short battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her daughter and her loving family.

She is survived by her son: Michael Cates; daughter: Chelsie Chunn; granddaughter: Olivia Cates; Sisters: Barbara (Bobby) Ashworth, Lois Harrington, Abbie Gray, Judy (Gabe ) Cuevas, all of Hohenwald; Brothers: William Gray of Sylacauga, AL, Jerry Gray of Columbia, TN, and Michael Gray of Hohenwald; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Tommie Gray and Birdie Inez Staggs Gray of Columbia, Tennessee. Sister Linda Gray Varnadoe, Brooksville, Florida, brother Jackie Gray Columbia Tennessee, and niece Lisa Gray of Sylacauga Alabama.

Dedra never met a stranger. She loved everyone and welcomed anyone in her home. She was a joy to be around. The highlight of her life was spending time with her children and family. She loved going to Panama City Beach as often as she could and one daydreamed of living there again. She will be missed by all those who loved and knew her. To know her was to love her.

The Family will have a Memorial Service at 1 P.M. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Blondy Church Life Center: 529 Swan Avenue, Hohenwald, TN to celebrate her life.
