Delilah Jean Kees

Delilah Jean Kees, age 71, wife of Olin Kees, and a resident of Columbia, stepped quietly from this world into the next on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at St. Thomas West Hospital, surrounded by family and love.

Born on May 13, 1950, in Sarasota, Florida, Delilah was the daughter of the late Willard C. Kennedy, Sr. and the late Valeria C. Wynn Kennedy. She was married nearly fifty-three years to Olin Kees and together they had two daughters, Stacey and Toni. She loved her family, good food, furry friends, and her garden. Delilah was persistent and strong willed, and she left behind a powerful legacy, the same determined nature that flows through the veins of her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Stacey R. (Jonathan) Deboe of Columbia, TN, Toni N. (Burt) Lacivita of Spring Hill, TN, brother, Willard C. (Gina) Kennedy, Jr., grandchildren, Benjamin Deboe, Miles Deboe, Rachel Deboe, Nathan Deboe, Annia Lacivita, Michael Lacivita, Zachary Lacivita, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Jo Jo.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:30 AM at Heritage Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Bar-Be-Que will be held from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at 3162 Carrington Lane, Columbia, TN 38401. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
