Dennis Edward "Mac" Mccallum

Mr. Dennis Edward “Mac” McCallum, age 75, husband of Sammie McCallum, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at his residence.

Born on April 30, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, Mac was the son of the late Edward McCallum and the late Virginia Hojnacki McCallum. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 – 1969 and worked many years as a millwright. Mac married Sammie on May 8, 1993. In his spare time, he often enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Todd McCallum and Melinda (Stephen) Robeson, step children, Ray and Samantha, sister, Sheri (Buck) Carver, grandchildren, Nicholas, Zack, Justin, Tiffany, Nina, and great grandchildren, Zoey and Kason.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Charles McCallum, sister, Patty McCallum, and beloved dogs, Thunder and Bailey.

There will be no public services at this time. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
