Dennis Michael Hudson, Sr.

Dennis Michael Hudson, Sr., age 62, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at his son’s home in Hohenwald.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and again on Saturday from 8:00 – 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Born on May 29, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dennis was the son of the late Harold Hudson and the late Sue Glover Hudson. He served three years in the United States Navy. He dedicated many years to his career as a mechanic at Alexander Ford before transitioning to carpentry, where his craftsmanship truly shined. An avid outdoorsman, Dennis cherished time spent fishing—particularly saltwater fishing—and hunting. His passion for staying busy and active was evident in his many woodworking projects. Known for his impeccable style, Dennis was always clean-cut and well-dressed. Above all, his greatest joy was his family, whom he loved deeply. Dennis was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his sons, Dennis Michael (Abbie) Hudson, Jr. of Lavergne, Hunter (Lauren) Hudson of Hohenwald, Dillon (Paige O’Hara) Hudson of Columbia, brother, Kevin (Missy) Hudson of Georgia, grandchildren, Henry Hudson, Ryan Hudson, Scarlett Hudson, Bonni Hudson, Leighton Hudson, Faith Hudson, Brantley Hudson, first cousin, Denise Presley, and many special friends and family. 

Those serving as pallbearers will be Michael Hudson, Hunter Hudson, Dillon Hudson, Adrian Stanley, Jonathan Blanton, and Steve Riggins.
