Dennis "Toby" Morial Scroggins, Jr.

Dennis Morial Scroggins Jr., “Toby” also lovingly known as “Smiley, The wood guy”, age 46, a resident of Lynnville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 due to injuries sustained in a ATV accident.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dennis was born in Columbia, TN and was the son of the late Dennis M. Scroggins, Sr. and Carolyn Robinson Scroggins. He worked many years as a self-employed lumberjack.  A true outdoorsman, Dennis enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hunting. He spent much time with his doberman Chloe whom he adopted.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Dennis M. Scroggins, III of Nashville and Jerry Ray Scroggins of Lynnville; sisters, Julie (Jonathan) Litton of Santa Fe and Jennifer (Chad) Manley of Petersburg, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Muriel Williams Scroggins.
