Deonna "Brucie" Hughes

Deonna Brucesanta Hughes, affectionally known as “Brucie” by many, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at her residence in Lawrenceburg.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Meadowview Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 23, 1973, in Lawrenceburg, Brucie was the daughter of Martha Lee Harris Maxwell and the late James Edward Hughes. She enjoyed listening to music and above all loved her family, especially her children and late husband.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Samantha Kingsbury Weigart of Lawrenceburg, John Curtis Kingsbury, II of Whiteville, sister, Renay (Jose) Fernandez of Lawrenceburg, grandchildren, Haylie Mattox, Baylynn Weigart, Gabriel Vogel, Amaris Vogel, and several nieces and nephews.
