Dianne Fitzgerald Hood

Dianne Fitzgerald Hood, 70, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on the morning of August 5, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 22, 1953, in Maury County, Dianne was the beloved daughter of the late Allen Fitzgerald and the late Ella Grooms Fitzgerald. Known for her exceptional artistic talent, she was a gifted artist in her youth, capable of drawing nearly anything. She also loved her animals.  After graduating Columbia Central High School, she earned her business degree from Belmont University.

Dianne is survived by her devoted long-time companion, Woodrow York of Columbia, her son Brent (Shelby) Steele of Lawrenceburg, her grandson Blake Steele of Lawrenceburg, her nieces Tracy House and Kristen Taylor, as well as many cherished cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Armstrong.

A celebration of Dianne's life will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
