Donald Lavern Olsen

Mr. Donald Lavern Olsen, age 77, husband of Dorothy McClain Olsen, and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Donald was born on May 24, 1944 and was the son of the late Delbert and Violet Olsen. He worked as a truck driver for Robinett Trucking. He married Dorothy McClain on September 5, 1973. A true outdoorsman, Donald loved going to the river with his family and riding on his boat and jet skis. He also enjoyed deer hunting and riding ATVs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Shane (Patty) Olsen of Mt. Pleasant, Darin (Tammy) Gilger of Florida, and grandchildren, Haley Olsen, Breann Humphrey, Britani Gilger, Kenly Berkowitz, and Jared Buchner.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Heather Gilger and Holly Wister, brothers, Dennis Olsen, Rick Olsen, and sister, Bonnie McBrayer.
