Donna Kay Davidson

Mrs. Donna Kay Davidson, age 57, wife of Richard Davidson, and a resident of Water Valley Road in Santa Fe, passed away Monday evening, May 24, 2021, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Anton Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 17, 1963 in Columbia, Donna was the daughter of the late Burl Gordon and the late Freddie Mae Brooks Gordon. She was a 1980 graduate of Santa Fe School and married Richard Davidson in 1981. Donna was a social worker for South Central Human Resource in Columbia for thirty-one years. She enjoyed reading and cooking and was a big inspiration to others. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Richard of forty years, she is survived by her daughter, Kristie Davidson of Santa Fe, stepson, Joe Davidson (fiancé, Julie Thompson) of Columbia, brothers, Elmer (Beverly) Gordon of Murfreesboro, Charlie (Rita) Gordon of Santa Fe, Dale (Tammy) Gordon of Santa Fe, sister, Gayle Gordon of Columbia, grandchildren, Eli Davidson, Abbie, Gracie, Ethan, and Emma Brooks, and step grandchildren, Wesley and Clayton Thompson. She is also survived by her mother in law, Phyllis Davidson, father in law, Ken (Christine) Davidson, brothers and sisters in law, Jeffrey (Meliza) Davidson, Clinton (Susan) Davidson, Randy (Deena) Davidson, Scott (Marie) Davidson, Mike (Irene) Davidson, Samantha (Kevin) Price, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Fitzgerald.

Pallbearers will be Joe Davidson, Chris Gordon, Josh Gordon, Wesley Thompson, Clayton Thompson, and David Owens. Honorary pallbearers will include Anthony Gordon and Chad Gordon.
