Donna Grace Funke

Donna Grace Funke, age 79, of Kokomo, Indiana, previously of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away at 2:45 pm on Saturday June 25, 2022, at her home in IN. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY., on January 13, 1943, to the late Kenneth and Beulah (Sears) Nicholson.

Donna graduated from Pulaski High School. She worked for Delco Electronics and retired in 2000 after 30 years of service. She was a former member of Columbia First United Methodist Church in TN.  She was a member of Alcoholic Anonymous and was sober for over 20 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and children.  She enjoyed ceramics, painting, crocheting, road trips, and watching baseball.

Donna is survived by her children, Wendy (Mike) Bales, Lynda Cross, Kathy Burthay, and Travis Funke; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Krawczyk; and brother, Richard Nicholson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sandra McCormack; sister, Doris Smith; brother, Kenneth Nicholson; and her fur babies, Danny and Daisy.

A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Friday July 22, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., with Pastor Kevin Hizer officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
