Dorothy Sue Ingram Daughtry, age 81, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at NHC Scott.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg with Chad Moore officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 26, 1940, in Corinth, Mississippi, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Bill Jack Ingram and the late Rebecca Ann Phillips Ingram. She worked twenty-six years for Frito Lay in Pulaski before retiring. Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society and Mars Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning, farming, and taking care of her chickens, ducks, and cows. She was a crafty lady who loved decorating for all the different holidays. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Daughtry (Jonathan) Burnett, son, John (Amanda) Daughtry, sister, Helen (Barry) Block, grandchildren, Kelsey (Lane) Heatherly, William Daughtry, great grandson, Cooper Heatherly, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Herman Daughtry, brothers, Woodrow Ingram, Billy Joe Ingram, and sisters, Bobbie Nell Allen and Sara Ann Miles.
Honorary pallbearers will include, Shirley Monroe, Reba Duren, Janice Franklin, Faye Mabry, Shirley Ellis, and Sharon Rowe.
