Dorothy "Dot" Evelyn Cohan

Dorothy Evelyn Cohan, age 87, a resident of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at The Reserve at Spring Hill.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 26, 1934, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lois Munns Cohan and her brother, Richard (Dick) Cohan.  She was an organist at Hinesville First Methodist Church in Hinesville, Georgia for 42 years.  She attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and was an educator in the Liberty County Schools in Hinesville, Georgia.  Dot was a lifelong member of Hinesville First United Methodist Church.

Dot is survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Cohan of Franklin, Tennessee, nephew, Tim (Vera) Cohan of Johns Creek, Georgia, niece, Jami Cohan of Augusta, Georgia and her beloved friend, Anita Pringle of Spring Hill, Tennessee.
