Dorothy Mary Jones of Fayetteville, Tennessee

October 11, 1952 - February 11, 2024

Dorothy Mary Jones, age 71, a beloved resident of Fayetteville, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at her residence.

Dorothy was born on October 11, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois. She earned an associate degree and dedicated her professional life as a Certified Nursing Assistant. However, her true joy came from embracing the role of a devoted housewife. Dorothy's heart overflowed with love for her family, and she found the greatest fulfillment in spending cherished moments with her grandkids and great grandkids. She often spoke fondly of her son, Calvin’s cooking, savoring the joy it brought to their home.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kenneth Lloyd Jones; sons, Calvin (Misty) Jones of Fayetteville and Michael (Audra) Grannath of Chicago, IL; brother, Charles Hayes of MI; grandchildren, Lee (M’Lissa) Jones, Cordell (Sophie) Jones, Emily Jones (Cullum Spurlock), Andi Jones (Dalton Jones), Becca Marsh, and Dameon (Alyssa) Spires; great-grandchildren, Emma Ann Jones, Carrie Jones, Maggie Jones, Elias Marsh, and Ares Marsh, and daughter in law, Linda Jones (Alan) Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Edna Irene Hayes; son, Kevin Jones; and siblings, Mary Miller, Virginia Carter, Lorraine Maldonado, David Hayes, Jerry Hayes, Thomas Hayes, and Michael Hayes.

A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at a later date.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
