Dorothy Nell Mcbee

Dorothy Nell McBee, age 74, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her residence.

The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 23, 1943 in Lawrenceburg, Dorothy was the daughter of the late James Robert Pollock and the late Ida Gobble Pollock. She was loved by many and respected by more. She was affectionately known as Mean Aunt Dot by her many nieces and nephews, and with that being said, they all loved her dearly. Dorothy always gave good advice whether you wanted it or not and was always the voice of reason. In her early years, she decorated cakes and was a seamstress. Later in life, she became a tax preparer. She was a member of Salem Church of Christ. Mom, rest easy. We love you and appreciate everything you did for us.

She is survived by her sons: William Vernon Winans of Lawrenceburg, Alan Wade (Debra) Winans of Lawrenceburg, Timothy Kyle (Kelly) McBee of Lawrenceburg; daughter: Tammy Sue (Billy) Dittman of Toledo, OH; sisters: Judy Clark of Lawrenceburg, Carol Elizabeth (Jim) Pickard of Lawrenceburg, Audrey May (Albert) Jeffries of Lawrenceburg, Pamela Gwynn Boyles of Toledo, OH; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Shelba Jean Gresham and brother: Darrell Lloyd Pollock.
