Dottie J. Dixon

December 9, 1946 - January 25, 2020

Mrs. Dottie Jo Emery Dixon, born on December 9, 1946, passed away on January 25, 2020 at NHC Columbia, from complications due to COPD.

She was the life partner and wife of John T. Dixon, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her was her brother Bill Birchfield of Florida, her son, Christopher Dixon, her daughter, Stephanie Lynn Dixon, and her great grandson, Braxton Williams. More so, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Emery Sr. and Elsie Riles Emery, both of Lawrenceburg. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Betty Marston of Lawrenceburg, Mrs. Helen Bartos of Parma Ohio, her brother, Mr. George Washington Emery Jr. of Waverly TN, two daughters, Sherry Dixon Williams, and Teresa Dixon Vanderford (Jeff), seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She was a former member of the VFW post 1618, Ladies Auxiliary.

Arrangements for a memorial will be posted at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
