Dr. John A. Maloof, Iii

Dr. John A. Maloof, III, age 61 and a resident of Columbia, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side.

A memorial service for Dr. Maloof will be conducted Tuesday, November 20 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with David Schindel and Darren Tyler officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM till service time at Heritage Funeral Home.

Born February 27, 1957 in Atlanta, GA., son of John A. Maloof, Jr. and the late Harriett Davis Durham Maloof. He was married to Kristine Gregory Maloof.

Dr. Maloof graduated with a BS & MD degree from Vanderbilt University and University of Alabama Birmingham, served his residency at the University of Cinnicinatti Hospital and his cardiology at Baylor. He was a member of the Conduit Church and a member of the Deeper Group with the church. He loved to ride his bike and motorcycle, yard work, playing frisbee with his pet Zeke and cars. He enjoyed being a doctor and taking care of his patients, spending time with each one as if they were a part of his family. Dr. Maloof was well loved and respected by all those who knew him.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his children: Amanda (Sergio) Martinez of Vienna, VA, Alison (Randy) Walters of Atlanta, GA, Abigail (Leonardo) Vieira of Fairfax, VA and John Jacob Maloof of Columbia; very special grandson: Gabriel Martinez. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister: Elizabeth Maloof Piazza.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Hanes, Randy Isabell, Dr. Jamie Hutton, Adrian Altshuler, Robert Richter and the men of the Deeper Group: Glen Yarbrough, Mike Bernard, Don Potts, Wilbon Piercey, Eric Lloyd and Matt Parker.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Conduit Church, 1642 Lewisburg Pike, Franklin, TN 37064.
