Michael Andrew “Drew” James, age 37, a resident of Pinson, Tennessee, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM at The Pentecostals of Columbia with Rev. Donald Lance, Rev. Tim James, and Rev. Jerry Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Napier Cemetery in Lewis County. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on November 18, 1984, in Maury County, Drew was the son of Huck James and Tracy Reed James. He was an extremely hard worker who installed flooring for many years. A true outdoorsman, he loved to hunt. Drew could do anything he put his mind to and was very giving and unselfish. He was friendly, respectful, and loved children. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandfather and nieces. Drew was a member of Lighthouse First United Pentecostal Church in Jackson, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Dylan McCaleb Hazard of Cookeville, sisters, Christa (Jonathan) Johnston of Columbia, Brittany James of Columbia, grandparents, Wayne and Deborah Reed of Columbia, nieces, Mackenzie Johnston and Natalie Johnston, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Margaret James and uncle, David Reed.
Pallbearers will be Berry Kellum, Jr., Brian Kellum, Scott Batterton, Derek Reed, Wesley Marshall, and Anthony Dysart. Honorary pallbearers will include the men of Lighthouse First United Pentecostal Church.
