Earlin R. Claspell, Jr.

October 28, 1949 — November 1, 2022

Earlin R. Claspell, Jr., age 73, husband of Christine Claspell, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 28, 1949, in Newberry, Michigan, Earlin was the son of the late Earlin R. Claspell and the late Bonnie Jane Wood Claspell. He married Christine Rich on June 26, 1976 and worked thirty-one years for General Motors before retiring on June 30, 2008. He enjoyed sports, especially Michigan football. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Heidi Lynn (Kennith) Meyers of Florida, Suzanne Yvonne (Gary) Jannetto of Florida, Andrea Christine Venable of Columbia, TN, Buddy (Heather) Claspell of Columbia, TN, brother, Shandon Claspell of Michigan, sisters, Terese Wisenbaugh of Michigan, Elaine (Pete) Claspell of North Carolina, Terry Sadler of Michigan, fourteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Cortney Webster.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to his caregiver, Bernadine Gibson.
