Edwin Ray Croom

Mr. Edwin Ray Croom, age 94, a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his residence.

Born on May 15, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ed was the son of the late Edward Croom and the late Ruth Daniel Croom. He proudly served in the United States Navy during War World II in the South Pacific. When he returned home from the Navy, he began his lifelong career as a general building contractor. He married Jacquelin Mattasits on November 2, 1979. Ed was an animal lover who enjoyed building things and raising chickens.

He is survived by his wife, Jacquelin Mattasits Croom of Lewisburg, Tennessee and daughter, Annalee Croom of Oregon.

Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
