Edwin "Eddie Bear" Herman Anderson, Iv

Mr. Edwin “Eddie Bear” Anderson, IV, age 36, a resident of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Tim Benson officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 8, 1983 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Eddie was the son of the late Edwin Herman Anderson, III and the late Tami Joan Sitowski Anderson. A true free spirit, Eddie had the kindest soul and truly cared about everybody. He loved traveling and never missed the opportunity to pack up and go to the next place on his destination. Eddie especially loved the ocean and was a professional fisherman who spent lots of time on a boat.

He is survived by his siblings: Catherine (Michael Hatfield) Benmouha of Columbia, Zackary (Rebecca) Anderson of Illinois, Peter Anderson of Illinois, Robert Shuart of Florida, Timothy (Sheri) Benson of Indiana, Ashlei (Anthony Davis) Anderson of Florida; nieces and nephews: Cyleigh Benson, Patrick Benson, Skyleigh Benson, Eamon Davis, Adrienne Davis, Ashlynn Davis, Jaidyn Ahmadi, Maecyn Davis, Madecyn Davis, Liam Davis, Wyatt Anderson, and Ainsley Anderson; life-long best friend: Jeffrey Sunderlage; and several cousins, aunts, uncles, and his grandfather, Hickey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Zayra Rosa Anderson.
