Elizabeth "Betsy" Wilson

Elizabeth “Betsy” Wilson, age 73, wife of the late Dewey “Hot Shot” Wilson, and a resident of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of the Bethel Community in Santa Fe, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. A graveside service will also be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Cave Springs Cemetery in the Bethel Community in Santa Fe, TN. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Betsy was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a 1967 graduate of Hillsboro High School where she was considered to be one of the “best dressed” in her class.  Betsy was the daughter of the late Palmer L. Edwards and the late Elizabeth Thompson Edwards. Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Wilson, sister Julia “Judy” Chrisman Everett, and nephew Chad Chrisman. Ms. Wilson is survived by nephews:  Brad Chrisman of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Jason Chrisman of Houston, Texas; one niece, Julie (Ben) Chrisman Jones of Bowling Green, Kentucky and one great niece, Mallory Jones.   She is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Reba Wilson Harris of Union City, Tennessee.

Betsy was a member of Franklin Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she and her husband attended.  She had resided for the past eight years at Charter Senior Living in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The family would like to offer a heartfelt “Thank you” to all the Charter staff who cared for Betsy as if she were family. Betsy enjoyed being with her family and friends at Charter Senior Living, shopping, was a chocolate connoisseur, was known as friendly, loving, and a person with a kind heart.
