Ella Mae Yarbro

Ella Mae Yarbro, age 85, resident of Leoma, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Leoma on Thursday, July 15, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church in Loretto in the Parish Life Center.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Ella Mae was born May 28, 1936 in Fayetteville, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late John Crawford, Sr. and the late Ella Irene Farris Crawford.  She graduated high school and was a member of Faith Baptist in Loretto. Her son Alvin and his family had many foster children and exchange students and Ella Mae treated each one of them like they were her own grandchildren.  She was such a kind lady that will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Alvin (Carol) Yarbro of Leoma; step son, Kenneth Yarbro of Lawrenceburg; daughter, Cynthia Tennery of Spring Hill; nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Yarbro; brothers, John Crawford, Jr. and William Crawford; step daughter, Doris Ann Yarbro; and step son, Layne Yarbro.
