Elvis Frierson

Mr. Elvis Lee Frierson, age 63, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Maury Memorial Gardens with Anthony Booker officiating. A visitation will also be held Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elvis was born in Maury County, on August 1, 1956, and was the son of Jessie Mae Jones Frierson and the late Robert Frierson. He was a member of Glass Street Church of Christ. He was a press operator for the Intelco Plant, where he later retired. Elvis was a deeply religious man, and enjoyed reading his bible, then meditating on the word of God. He was a mentor for Gatekeepers, and especially loved to spend time with his family. Being surrounded by his grandbabies brought him great joy.

He is survived by his loving wife: Teresa Frierson of Columbia; mother: Jessie Mae Jones Frierson of Mt. Pleasant; son: Rhoderick Frierson of Murfreesboro; daughters: Tiffany Martin of Columbia, Latisha Burns of Franklin, Latasha (Nathaniel) Whitehead of Columbia, Ciara of Louisville, Kentucky; brothers: Thomas Ray Frierson of Columbia, Rickey (Katica) Frierson of Columbia, Bruce (Murenda) Frierson of Columbia, Kerry (Dena) Frierson of Georgia, Timothy Frierson of Columbia, Christopher (Marilyn) Frierson of Mt. Pleasant; sister: Brenda Frierson of Columbia; and a huge host of grandchildren.

In addition to his father, Elvis was preceded in death by his son: Kelvin Frierson; his daughter: Kaneasha Martin; and brothers: Wayne Frierson, and Keith Frierson.

His family will be acting as pallbearers.
