Enrique Medina Salcedo, 56, passed away at his home in Mt. Pleasant on July 18, 2021, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on June 27, 1965, in Veracruz, Mexico to his father, Eufemio Medina, and his late mother, Maria de la Paz Salcedo. He grew up in Veracruz where he played soccer, played guitar, and was a member of the band named "Trio Salcedo". Enrique had a large family and loved spending time with them and his friends.
Enrique was a one-of-a-kind person. He was kind, humble, hardworking, loyal, and honest. He was loved by so many people in Mexico and the United States.
Enrique began working for Middle Tennessee Concrete in 1997 and worked his way up to become a foreman. He was well respected by his employers, Jerry Jeter Sr and Dallas Jeter, his co-workers, and the builders and homeowners in the area. Enrique was very hard working and continued to work for over a year when he could in between his chemo sessions. Enrique became family to everyone at Middle Tennessee Concrete and will be dearly missed.
Enrique is survived by his father, Eufemio Medina, his wife, Clara Munoz Gomez, one son, Andoni Enrique Medina, four daughters, Tana Iris Medina, Keren Yunuhet Medina, Karen Nicole Medina, and Salma Janai Medina. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jose Manuel Salcedo, Ismael Salcedo, Noemi Medina, Azael Medina, Gerardo Medina, Daniel Medina, Alba Medina, Eufemio Medina, and his special childhood friend, Evaristo Osorio.
Enrique's funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
