Ernest Lee Morton

Ernest Lee Morton, age 76, a resident of Hohenwald, formerly of Columbia, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Columbia Freewill Baptist Church, 410 Mooresville Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 25, 1946, in Maury County, Ernest was the son of the late Elvis Morton and the late Mary B. Dale Morton. He worked as a security guard at Lasko Products, LLC for many years. He was an avid wrestling fan. Ernest was extremely kind and generous; he loved everyone, and everyone loved him.

He is survived by his brothers, George (Vonna) Morton of Hohenwald, Floyd Morton of Columbia, Jerry Morton of Hohenwald, sister, Margaret Ann Kendall of Hohenwald, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Doug & Marilyn McCandless.
