Ernie Kerr

Mr. Ernest “Ernie” Claney Kerr, age 46, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 19, 1972 in Elkhart County, Indiana, Ernie was the son of Donna Hardy Mates and the late Denny Kerr. He worked as a mechanic most of his life and was the owner of Ernie’s Auto Care in Columbia. He married his wife, Roleen in September of 2009. Ernie was a devoted Ohio State football fan…..Go Buckeyes! He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his very special dogs: Charlie and Sophie. He was an amazing father, leader, and friend who was loved and cherished by everybody who knew him.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Kenneth (Keota) Faulkner of Columbia, Kathleen Barlow of Columbia, Joey Quiroz of Columbia, Stevie Kerr of Columbia, Bob (Mondrica) Kerr of Columbia, Dee Venoy of Columbia; step children: Bubba James of Culleoka, Chris James of Cullekoa, Bridgette (Daniel) Crowe of Culleoka, Heather (Holly) James of Culleoka, Jessie James of Culleoka; brother: Dennis Kerr of Ohio; sister: Crystal Barlow of Ohio; and twenty three grandchildren.
