Eva Coffey, age 90, resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at The Gardens of Poplar Estates.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.  A private burial will be held at a later date.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eva was the daughter of the late James Thomas Beckum and the late Naomi Elizabeth Lindsey Beckum.  She was a member of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  She worked for Dr. Campbell Sowell, Sr. as a dental assistant for twenty-seven years. She also worked eight years at Maury Regional Medical Center as head of the housekeeping and laundry department.   Eva was always happy and could be depended on to offer a kind word and encouragement.

She is survived by her children: Elizabeth Jean “Jeanne” Collins of Nashville, Deborah Lynn Collins of Columbia, and Cheryl “Cherry” Anne Collins Edmiston of Columbia; brother: Charles Wesley Beckum of Columbia; sister: Floy Raye (Beckum) Mobbs of Lawrenceburg; grandchild: Stacey Lee Edmiston Luckey; great grandchildren: Branson Edmiston, Will Luckey, and Elizabeth Luckey.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings: Nora Marie Beckum Young, James Thomas Beckum, Jr., Joseph William Beckum, Ava Jane Beckum McMeen, Bobby Russell Beckum, and Joy Fay Beckum Wauford.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 1533 Theta Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.
