Evelyn M. Wise

Evelyn M. Wise, age 78, wife of Lytle Wise, and a resident of Duck River, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Brian Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Evelyn was born on February 1, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Morris and the late Helen Roberta Graham Morris. She married Lytle A. Wise on October 17, 1962, and together they had two children. Evelyn was most happy when she was at the beach, and she loved Christmas decorations, specifically snowmen. She was known as the craft lady and always having a Dachshund dog. She was a member of Santa Fe Baptist Church. Above all, Evelyn was the best “Nanna” and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Leasa (Russell) Johnson of Duck River, Earl (Lorie) Wise of Hampshire, sisters, Ann Kelley of Columbia, Barbara Bradford of Duck River, grandchildren, Amberlin (Jesse) Gates, Caleb (Lindsay) Wise, Lindsey (Layne) Barnes, Krystal (Jason) Dye, Breanna (Aaron) Yarbrough, Kaitlyn Johnson, fourteen great grandchildren, and sister in law, Conni Morris.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jessie Morris, Johnny Walter Morris, brother in law, Homer Kelley, and sister in law Billie Morris.

Pallbearers will be Jason Dye, Layne Barnes, Caleb Wise, Jason Scott, Jeremy Boshers, and Jeff Morris.
