A native of Maury County, Diane was born on June 16, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Ulna H. Sims and the late Annie Louise Shires Sims. Diane dedicated several years of her life to General Electric and later owned and operated Fire Life Safety. Diane found joy in helping her daughter with her daycare business and was affectionately known as Granny by many.
Diane was known for her humor, wit, and kind-hearted nature. She had a generous spirit, always willing to give the shirt off her back. Diane embraced everyone without judgment, accepting them for who they were. Her warm and open demeanor left a lasting impact on all fortunate enough to cross her path.
In her leisure time, Diane found immense pleasure in singing, listening to Gospel music, and dancing. Above all, her greatest joy was found in the love she shared with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her vibrant personality touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Rogers (Tim) Hardison of Columbia, Christina “Christy” (Jason Staggs) Weaks of Columbia, brother, Billy (Peggy Jean) Sims of Culleoka, sister, Brenda Warf of Culleoka, grandchildren, Chris (Shana) Hardison, Stephen (Kalli) Hardison, Andrew (Veronica) Hardison, Carmen Eslick, Cladie (Hunter Fender) Eslick, Chloe (Gaige Williams) Eslick, Jamon (Shay) Moates, and great grandchildren, Walker Jane, Banks McCoy Taylor, Lyrah, Alexander, Aidin, Stetson, Ryker, Ambriella, Weston, and one great grandchild on the way.
