George R. Rochelle

George R. Rochelle, age 79, a resident of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at the church, with his brother, Rev. Jimmy Rochelle officiating. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 7, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, George was the son of the late James H. Rochelle, Sr., and the late Margaret Anderson Rochelle. He dedicated many years of his career to Occidental Chemical Company before retiring and proudly served in the United States Navy.

An avid outdoorsman, George cherished spending time with friends and family. His sharp sense of humor and knack for storytelling could always bring a smile, even in the face of illness. His ability to brighten any room with his laughter and adventurous spirit will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his brothers, Rev. Jimmy (Pam) Rochelle of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Tim (Brenda) Rochelle of Attalla, Alabama, sister, Rebecca (Richard) Rushing of Milan, Tennessee, and a host of nieces and nephews.
