George Jeffery Vandiver

George Jeffery Vandiver, age 63, a resident of Lynnville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Birdie Llewellyn officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hampshire. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on September 26, 1960, in Maury County, he was the son of George A. Vandiver and the late Shelby Jean Anderson Vandiver. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and pursued further education at Columbia State Community College for two years. He previously worked many years for United Cities Gas Company in Columbia and was most recently self-employed in maintenance. In his spare time, he enjoyed horseback riding and small mouth fishing on Pickwick Lake.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his brothers, Wayne (Paula) Vandiver of Columbia and James (Kathy) Vandiver of Pulaski, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randy “Buzz” Floyd, Scott Vandiver, Clint Owens, Michael Vandiver, and Kerry Massey.
